Ralph has practiced law in Steamboat Springs since 1986. He continues to practice law as a Partner of the Law Offices of Ralph A. Cantafio, P.C. with offices located in Craig, Denver and Steamboat Springs, Colorado. His practice focuses on Commercial litigation including that involving the construction, real estate, and oil and gas industries.

Ralph is a long time resident of Colorado having secured his law degree at the University of Colorado at Boulder (J.D., 1984) and his Masters of Science in Mineral Economics at the Colorado School of Mines (M.S., 1992). During that time, he has had an opportunity to participate regularly in the resolution of disputes. It was and is his observation that most disputes could have been entirely avoided by appropriate attention to detail at the earliest point possible and a better understanding of foreseeable pitfalls.

As the Yampa Valley grows, it is more important than ever to make certain that your real estate affairs are handled with a greater level of care. Mark has been involved in various aspects of real estate during his entire professional career. Mark is a practicing attorney in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, focusing in the areas of real estate, probate, wills, trusts, and estates. Mark also is a real estate investor and for the past ten years has been a real estate broker, most recently as the Broker/Owner of Yampa Valley Realty. He is now taking this experience to his ownership with Ralph A. Cantafio with Real Living Professional Group.

Mark received his Bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan, and his law degree from the University of Denver. Mark has also acted on numerous occasions as a Mediator, helping parties in litigation or with matters prior to litigation, resolve their disputes.

Mark has also been involved in the Yampa Valley community. With the help of a group of people, he founded the West Routt Rural Health Council, Inc., which owns and operates the Haven Assisted Living Center in Hayden, Colorado. Mark negotiated the merger of the Haven with the VNA of Northwest Colorado and remains the President of the Haven Board as well as a member of the VNA Board. Mark was also a committee member on the Haymaker Golf Course committee which organized, developed and operates the award-winning Haymaker Golf Course in Steamboat Springs. Mark also serves on the Adult Protection Team for Routt County and is the President of a condominium association in Steamboat.

When I was a sophomore in high school, my parents sold the farm and moved to Meeker, Colorado to start a guide and outfitting business up the White River outside of Meeker. If you have ever been to Sleepy Cat, you went right by the ranch my parents had for over 30 years.

I took time off during college to have two wonderful daughters, and after earning my Degree from Western State College in Gunnison, Colorado I soon relocated to Hayden to teach second grade.

My husband, Ralph, and I relocated to Steamboat Springs in 1987. We have lived in the Yampa Valley for over 20 years now. I cannot tell you what a thrill it is to have our two grandchildren visit us in the same house we raised our girls.
